Students and school staff members are facing situations they have never encountered before. Many practices have needed to shift to accommodate for students' needs and learning environments. However, regardless of the learning modality, supporting students socially and emotionally must be kept at the forefront to increase their social-emotional, personal, and ultimately, academic success. But before we place students into behavior interventions, we must first ask questions. The answers to these questions will guide your team in placing students in appropriate and effective interventions that match their needs.
This session will:
+ Focus on the questions to ask before placing a student into a behavior intervention
+ Explore data points to consider before placement
+ Overview a plethora of behavior interventions, beyond Check In Check Out (CICO)
