Go for Launch: Structural, Sotero & Sophya

Go for Launch: Structural, Sotero & Sophya

InnoLead

According to a study conducted by McKinsey & Company, employees waste the equivalent of one day a week playing internal detective, searching for the right person at their company to work with on challenges. Structural, a startup that makes profiles based on enterprise data, creates a database similar to LinkedIn that acts as a directory inside companies. Employees can search by skill and find the right person to tap for help.

In the most recent episode of Go for Launch, three startups, including Structural, pitched their products. Go for Launch is Innovation Leader’s series of live startup demos. During each episode, three startups pitch their solutions in 30 minutes. Then, our guest hosts ask questions to the entrepreneurs. After the webcast concludes, participants have the opportunity to connect with founders to ask their questions.

In addition to Structural, Sophya and Sotero pitched their products. Sotero encrypts sensitive enterprise data sets. Their product also allows third-party applications to search the database securely. Sophya creates a virtual office. Each employee can create an avatar and connect in a virtual world. Shared facilities like whiteboards and conference rooms are also accessible in the online space.

This episode also features insights from Chris Varley. Varley runs the External Science and Technology Program at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Dan Allred, Senior Market Manager at Silicon Valley Bank, co-hosts this episode. Silicon Valley Bank is also a sponsor of this series.
