Now for the geek bit: I was filming some 'run and gun' interviews with my rode mic plugged direct in my 5d mkii, running Magic Lantern v2.3. So the camera was set to external mic input. The next day I was filming some live music. I plugged my rode mic into my zoom recorder and forgot to reset my camera to use the internal mic. The result is I picked up nothing but white noise. (If you listen very carefully you can just about hear some of the guitar. Does this mean Magic Lantern allows signal from the internal mic to bleed into the direct input channel?)
I thought since it was only a few clicks, I would see what PluralEyes would do, expecting it to spit it out with a nice red pluraleyes did not sync sequence.
Also worth noting that I record about 5 tracks that day and it has worked on all of them!
In this video this final part looks out of sync, I think that is to do with the screen capture software. It is 100 percent in sync.
PluralEyes you have saved the day!
