The alternative title sequence for the film ‘Network’ (1976) shows the making of the magic world of television with its cruelty and rush for ratings. It is a story of a witch at a cooking TV show. She mixes the most rated shows while anchormen’s heads, scenes of violence, crimes and wars are her ingredients. The animation is related to the themes from the film and alludes to a story of one of the main characters Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) who is considered to be a symbol of the network. The title sequence is designed for a re-make of the film as it contains not only frames of old newsreel but also modern persons, TV shows, and terrorist acts. The music composition ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ from ‘Peer Gynt’ by Edvard Grieg is used as a soundtrack.
