A site-specific work, performed in and around Angels Gate Cultural Center, a former military barracks in San Pedro, CA. In the 10-day rehearsal process, we devised a unifying frame for the 9 short plays, and fashioned ourselves as “busted waterfront clowns.” It was low-tech, down and dirty, with lots of play and laughter!

In November 2002, the Pulitzer prize-winning SUZAN-LORI PARKS committed to writing
a play a day for the next 365 days. The world premiere of this play cycle was performed as a yearlong national festival simultaneously in major cities and communities around the country, from November 13, 2006 to November 12, 2007.
Critical Mass Performance Group was honored to be a part of this exciting project.
