Georgia’s Vote Tree | Democracy Grows Here
Hosea Williams, Atlanta’s beloved civil rights leader would have turned 95 on Jan 5, the day Georgians will vote in the Senate runoff. To honor Williams and his dream for universal voter participation, local artists and several passionate organizations have come together to help get out the vote.
Collectively, we are an energetic group of students, artists, educators, and activists from Atlanta and beyond who got together and asked, “How can we help?” Enter Vote Tree, a non-partisan, interactive public art installation that has taken root under under Fabian William’s 4-story mural of beloved civil rights leader Hosea Williams – whose birthday is (drumroll…) Jan 5.
Our joyful installation makes it simple for anyone with a smartphone to re-request a mail-in ballot. Thanks to our partnership with Block Power, our voting recruitment at the site and beyond is powered 3x.
Your support helps to get out the vote, amplify community voice, empower local artists, and create a lasting impact in Atlanta for decades to come.
