This video was produced for a Multi Media Travel Photography class taught by Bob Krist at the Maine Media Workshops. This is my very first video. As a photojournalist I had a leg up on the visuals but the sound and editing processes were foreign - and often overwhelming. Thanks, Bob, for your optimism and patience.
I had two goals in Maine: 1) To learn what goes into making a video. And 2) go fishing. Thanks to my subject, fishing guide, Don Kleiner, I was able to do both He was often saying, " Put down the camera, this is a great spot". He had a wonderful attitude.
Things technical: I used 4 cameras for this. A Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder for the bulk of the shoot, Nikon p7100 and 5100 for a couple of shots (to see how new digital cameras are handling video) and a Nikon AW100 for underwater and extreme low angles.
