Jay talks with Paula Sacks. Paula is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Attachment Specialist with a private practice in Chestnut Hill. She’s also the author of two engaging and informative new books related to attachment theory—one is directed to new parents and the other to children. The Importance of Love Rays: Developing Secure Attachment in Infancy and Childhood is written for new parents and the related children's book is entitled Love Rays. During the program, we’ll be learning why and how these two books came about, we’ll review their contents and format and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate the importance of attachment theory and the development of secure and healthy emotional bonds between parents and their newborn children.
