In 2009 we decided to spend some time in Kosciusko National Park skiing and snowboarding the more remote peaks on the way from Kiandra to Kosciusko. Having no set agenda and plenty of time, we loaded up the sled with 2 weeks worth of food, fuel, snow kites and all sorts of digital equipment.
The weather was testing at both ends of the spectrum and with some damaged equipment and marginal conditions we made it to Guthega in a record 12 days! It may have been the longest half K2K in history....
It was the most satisfying trip we have both done and wouldn't change a thing.
Sincere apologies to the pulk owner....Our only regret on the trip.
