Workshop Trailer by Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano
San Francisco, CA
October 14-15 2012

How will you avoid exposing your audience to “Death by PowerPoint”?
Learn why audiences today expect more than bullet lists, over used templates and clipart. How do you design
compelling slides and images for your students or for your online audience?
In this hands-‐on session, participants will mash up their thoughts about teaching and learning with powerful
images, apply basic design principals and share them with the group as well as a global audience. We will model
the process by supporting digital citizenship (adhering to copyright laws), create visuals that engage in
meaningful discussion, foster presentation and communication skills, and disseminate our visuals beyond the
workshop attendees.
