Tis the season for gift giving! As environmental advocates, it is important that we shop responsibly and understand what companies and products are making the biggest efforts to be environmentally sustainable in the products they provide. We’ll learn about the many efforts REI is making at the local, regional, and corporate levels to step up in addressing climate change and giving customers more options for reducing, reusing and recycling their outdoor gear and clothes. NOTE: We know it has been a hard year for many of us and our communities, and so buying gifts for others is a privilege or not possible. Please feel free to bring and share your ideas for local, sustainable, or creative / alternative “giving” options this year.
