It may have been Bach's favorite job, working from 1717 to 1723 as Kapellmeister for Prince Leopold in Köthen. It was there that Bach wrote his famous Brandenburg Concertos and Well-Tempered Clavier. There also Bach's first wife died unexpectedly while he was away. Pressesprecher Christian Ratzel opened many doors in this lovely town for Professor Carol, allowing her to explore its arts and history, and this video is just a preliminary glimpse.
