I shot this in the summer of 2001. Director of the M.I.T. Laboratory for Computer Science from 1974-2001, Dertouzos was one of the true pioneers of the internet. His department was instrumental in developing RSA encryption, the spreadsheet, NuBus, the X Window System, and the Internet. His "humanizing gestalt" approach to the internet was spot on and ahead of its time. Okay, he wasn't a MAC guy but in every other way, he was visionary and saw through the clutter of labyrinthine design. This is the raw interview, no edits.
