We put in at the footbridge near Caribou Creek. We made it about a mile before running into a burn area. There were multiple channels and numerous strainers. We headed back to the trail and put in below the Cascades. Several river-wide strainers along the way. The most interesting water that we ran was at the start of the mini canyon (class II+) back to the Resurrection Pass trailhead. The class iV Cascades looked burly if you're up to it.
