The Airports Council International--North America (ACI-NA) Board of Directors has announced that Marjorie Brink, a former vice president at LeighFisher Associates and longtime airport consultant, is the recipient of the 2012 William E. Downes Jr. Memorial Award.
"Marjorie Brink's contributions to the aviation industry throughout her career are remarkable," said ACI-NA President Greg Principato. "Her work in developing and defining what are now industry standard approaches to airport planning, concessions, and many other areas, make her deserving of the 2012 Downes Award."
The Downes Award, named for the former Chicago aviation director, is ACI-NA's highest honor. Each year the board bestows the award on an individual in the aviation industry who displays extraordinary leadership in promoting the objectives of airports and aviation as a whole.
