With residents in east Jackson poised for a potential evacuation, hopes were high this morning for significant precipitation to drop from the dark clouds that rolled over the Snake River and Teton Ranges. Despite some brief periods of rain, we ended up back underneath the sun with higher winds whipping through the valley. Firefighters remain hard at work holding the fire at bay along the Cache Creek ridgeline that stretches from the summit of Snow King Ski Area to Game Creek divide.
