This bike was a true Bitza. When I saw it it was in the back of the dealer's shop. I remarked to him "that would do me." He replied the owner was overseas and I could have it for $5,500 so out came the credit card and I soon had a new bike.
The frame is a loop frame from the 70's. I don't what the front end came from, possibly a Suzuki. The heads had been fitted with twin plugs which ups power and at the same time lowers fuel consumption. It had no trouble lifting the front wheel in the first 3 gears. I was told the motor was a SP1000 with parts from a GT850 and some other models.
When I had a opportunity to sell it at a profit I took it. At the last minute I tried to talk the buyer out of buying it but he insisted "a deal is a deal."
