In this video we used ViiM SDK to create an application to interact with OS.
We quickly adapted ViiMUnitGesture, ViiM’s gesture recognition system to interact with the operating system.
ViiM recognizes the hand, its position and what gesture we’re doing. We configured our application to replace the mouse position on the screen with our hand position and the mouse left click with ViiM’s click, the simple motion of closing and opening the hand. When ViiM recognizes this sequence of hand “stances”, a CLICK gesture event is fired, accompanied by the hand position at the moment. By closing our hand and moving it without opening, ViiM recognizes a DRAG, which stops after opening the hand.
