At Lytton the Thompson joins the Fraser. The CN line switches to the same shore as the CP, crossing an interesting bridge on which the track is laid as a S-curve.
As luck had it the westbound CN train crossed the bridge just as a CP Coal empty was heading East, being in the right spot required only a 90º pan to switch to the CP train.
The wind was really blowing at Lytton!
