This is the first of two videos dealing with the acquisitions of the World record-breaking Vimy.
Background: This first video covers the very last flight of the Brooklands Vimy replica from the Top Gear Hanger at Dunsfold to its finally resting place at Brooklands Museum. It happened on the 15 of November in 2009, at the end of a fifteen year career, during which it had flown from England to Australia, as well as England to South Africa and crossing the Atlantic from the USA to Ireland. It was now time for the Vimy to retire to Brooklands where the first Vimys had been built.
The Video is filmed both from the ground and from the air using a small camera attached to the tail fin and is followed by a second video showing what happened after it landed..
