What to do in Wanaka on a day off the slope?
Bike ride!
Today the weather is grim, snowboarding is not an option so Kezia and I decide to go on bike ride.
We took the Hawea River Track starting in Albert Town
From Albert Town to Hawea Dam: 14km
Suitable for all ages and experience, this riverside ride is over easy country and links Lake Hawea township to Wanaka, via Albert Town.
More info on rides around Wanaka can be found here on Lake Wanaka Website.

We rented bikes from Wanaka at Thunderbikes and took off early morning for a chilled day. Stopping for lunch at Sailz, Lake Hawea sailzlakehawea.com/ before returning to Albert Town.
A great day and it’s amazing how good a ride feels stretching those muscles in your legs.
