My chosen short film sequence for AS level film, took me 6 around weeks to complete in Sep/Oct, 2011.

An adaptation of the John Hughes original (1985). The concept was to switch the timeline round and instead have the detention as the finishing point of the film. In essence, it was imagined as a prequel to The Breakfast Club. My intentions were to expose the characters in a more in depth study of how and why they are the stereotypes they are defined by. I would do this by creating 'home-life perspective' scenes and 'parent interactions' just like that acted out by John Bender in the original film where he mimicks Brian's parents but then reveals the brutality and ignorance of his own father in his own home.
