This video took a strange turn in editing. I shot Napili Bay as part of my mission to shoot footage of every beach on Maui (about 60 beaches total). After looking at the footage, I was stumped as to how to make a unique video with what I had. First, I found the music (Agua De Bebe) which helped me establish a strange, quirky style to the video. Then I began ripping the shots apart to see what made them unique. I started experimenting with drastic color correction to expose things in the footage that I couldn't normally see, and this is the end result. I know it's a strange departure from my other beach videos, but all I can say is that I let the editing take me where it wants to take me.
The footage was shot 24p with my Canon XH A1, a frame rate I'm starting to like more and more, especially when incorporated with the film jitters and such.
