Drunk and drugged driving puts the driver, passengers and others who share the road at serious risk. The Sheriff's Department Crime Lab is using a grant to better understand impaired driving. This will help us better allocate our resources and work with our community partners in addressing the problem.
The grant is from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS).
Don't drive under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Designate a sober driver, take a cab or use ride sharing services.
