Hiking East Mountain Trail #214

East Mountain Trail #214 starts at Pioneer Pass, on Tonto National Forest Road 112, travels north just below East Mountain's crest, then turns west, descending back to FR 112. I followed an old fire break up to the summit, where there was shade to read the summit log. Nice views of Pinal Peak, the San Carlos Apache Reservation, and the copper mines in Miami & Globe.
