On December 2, 2020, a fast-moving brush fire broke out in Rancho San Diego. Many residents slept as the wind-driven fire raced up hillsides and dangerously close to their homes.
One man lost his home to the Willow Fire. But Doug Howarth says he's alive today thanks to the life-saving actions of Deputy Nicolai Ramos from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station.
