The joy of connection!
TOGETHER we are a caring community!
2020 was a year of unprecedented challenges for everyone. For many of us it was an opportunity to think of creative ways to stay connected with the men and women on the farms who faced a much greater degree of isolation. It is a privilege to share life with our neighbours and 2020 was no exception!
It's impossible to compress these experiences into a 2 minute video. This is just a wee taste of a few highlights we managed to capture and does not reflect the hundreds of people who showed up and cared in such practical ways! The community really stepped up when we became aware of our neighbours on the farms needing food and necessities.
PLEASE NOTE: Some photos were taken from January to mid March before Covid. After that all public health protocols were strictly adhered to with deliveries of meals, groceries and necessities set up as porch drop offs or as directed by the employers. Some photos/video were taken by men at their own bunkhouses. Outdoor photos were cropped to appear closer.
