This video follows Captain Kirk and Dr. Spock as they plan to reach every people group. Spock calculates, correctly, that it will take 15,000 years to do it the way most missions is done today: by gathering a crowd around a dynamic, missionary leader... one crowd at a time, one church at a time. Instead, we must train locals to go and plant their own churches. If every Christian considered themselves a "church planter" and shared Jesus with just one person a year, the Great Commission would be accomplished in our generation! Thirty-seven years to be exact.
From a theological perspective, Jesus said, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matt 24:14 NIV). The significance of the statistic above? It's that every generation is a hair's breadth of obedience away from seeing God's purposes for this world fulfilled in their lifetime. So, why not get trained to church plant? Check out the next training at: allnations.us/#!cpx/c3w1
