I managed to capture this video of space shuttle Endeavor during its last flight through California. Taken from the viewing area at NASA Ames, Moffet Field in Mountain View, CA on Sept. 21, 2012. [My first video posting ever!]
Everyone was expecting the flyover to take place over the main runway, to the east of Hanger One. Unfortunately the pilot chose a flight path to its west, so the hanger obscured the entire approach of the shuttle+carrier and so I almost missed the Endeavor. Got the F-15 escort that did fly to the east (the grey, fuzzy blob at the beginning). I'm not at all sure how i got the shuttle into view. It all happened so quickly. We were hoping for a second flyover, but it was not to be.
Still, there were thousands of people there and lots of good energy. It's kinda funny. People came from all over, some waiting hours, to get a 30 second glimpse of 30+ years of history. Glad to have been a part of it!
