It was the hottest day of the summer of 2012. Well, I don’t know that for sure but it certainly felt like it.
Long Haul Films made the journey to Clinton, New York, home of Hamilton College. It’s where Anne and Andy met and then came back to get married.
Andy and his groomsmen got ready in the hockey locker room. Anne put on her dress just steps from the college chapel where she and Andy exchanged their incredible vows. This was a Hamilton College wedding.
Less than a mile away, Harding Farm was the venue for the tent and barn reception. I think that ever since we started Long Haul Films we’ve been looking for the opportunity to shoot a barn wedding. If we’d have known our first one would be in 96 degree heat we might have been less enthusiastic.
But all of the beautiful touches aside, what made this wedding so great was Anne and Andy. We love that the mere sight of Anne making her way down the aisle was enough to make Andy cry. We love that Anne was determined to jump into the pool at the end of the night… in her wedding gown. And we love how these two lit up the dance floor.
We also got the chance to work with some incredible people. Michael Ash of Ash Imagery (ashimagery.com) was a pleasure to shoot alongside, Harding Farm (hardingfarm.com) provided the perfect backdrop, and the Mad Hatters (madhattersband.ca) gave us the music for everyone to dance to.
The music for the trailer was licensed through the ever wonderful Music Bed (themusicbed.com), and the tracks are Your Side Now by Trent Dabbs, and I Found You by our buddies Aaron & Andrew.
