I was working at this years Royal Show so I thought while I’m there I may as well do some filming. Bad weather, working late and general laziness meant I only ended up filming 2 and a half nights. I didn’t get around to capturing everything I wanted but I’m happy with the feel of the video. With the money earned working at the show I can finally get a 24-70mm lens to fill the gap between my wide angle and telephoto.

I kept post production pretty simple. The footage hasn’t been colour corrected but some clips were fixed up with curves or levels. The timelapses were put together in After Effects and editing was done on Prem Pro 5.5. Some of the handheld telephoto needed stabilisation with AFX’s Warp Stabiliser and the fireworks lit shots of the crowd really benefited from a pass through Neat Video.

Shot and Cut by me, Nick Eades.
