An eleven minute video tour of the VW Vanagon Syncro Expedition Camper named "Das Mule". And as explained on the web site at

"DAS, of course, is a tribute to the Germans for creating the Vanagon. We are ever grateful!

MULE stands for Multi-functional, Utility, Logistics, Equipment...."

Joe with Dana's help has trasnformed this 1986 passenger Vanagon Syncro into a first class Expedition Overland Camper.

This is just a short tour of some of the obvious improvements during the last hours of a two year preparation for a two month tour of Baja California and Mexico, starting from their driveway and possibly extending as far as Guatemala and Belize.

Even after spending a month beside Joe while working on my own Syncro, I have not seen every detail of the modifications he has done. Every time I look, I see more details that amaze and inspire me on my Van. You can see more and possibly follow them through Dana's Blog from the Das Mule Web Site.

This video was shot on a Canon HF G-10 Solid State Camcorder and edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.

Music was from my Jesse Cook collection, "Breathing Below Surface" from the album "The Ultimate Jesse Cook" Jesse's Official web site can be found here:

And for those of you shocked by the Tequila..... It's ice Tea... He's hiding the tea bags with his hand. :-)
