Mariana Vassileva is a Berlin-based Artist from Bulgaria who makes video and sculptural installations. S.K. Stanley/Architextmedia interviewed her in Potsdam during an exhibition of her work in the Schloss Marquardt (built 1708) during a summer exhibitions held there in 2011. She speaks about technical development in her native country compared with the motor speeds developed in Germany and Italy. With the recent disclosure abou VW in 2015, the attempt to cheat on testing schemes to reduce greenhouse gases, the true costs of our speeds has been made more explicit.
