Wyoming's North Platte River has flowed for thousands of years. It has endured shifting weather patterns and vast migrations of life. Over a century ago great dams were built to store the water, and yet the river flowed on. Water is life along the North Platte River and it all begins upstream. "River of Time" is the story of the evolution of Wyoming's North Platte River.
"River of Time," from award-winning director Becky McMillen is the third in a series of educational films about threatened rivers and streams. Becky's first short film "The Hope of Nine Mile Creek" has screened at film festivals across the country winning best film awards in Iowa and Colorado. Her second film "A River Tamed," chronicles the history, restoration efforts and legal battle between states for the water of the Republican River.
River of Time premiered on Wyoming PBS on December 27, 2012 at 7:00pmMST.
