Maricopa Trail: CCRP to Anthem Trailhead

Hiking the Maricopa Trail from the north edge of Cave Creek Regional Park, west past the Spear S Ranch Trailhead in New River, to the Daisy Mountain Fire Department in Anthem. This short Maricopa Trail segment, was the third I've hiked, but the first in my new project to day hike the whole 240-mile loop around Phoenix.

The Maricopa Trail system is 315 miles, but the loop round Phoenix is 240 miles. The rest is spur trails. Most of it is dirt, about 2/3 trail, 1/3 canals and sidewalks. (Which hopefully at some point are rerouted onto trail.)
