Hundreds of Miami young professionals and VIP guests gathered at the Friends of New World Symphony 2012 Season Kick Off on September 22, 2012. First they enjoyed a gorgeous concert in the Frank Gehry designed New World Center. The orchestra performed a program which included Rodrigo’s passionate Concierto de Aranjuez with renowned Manuel Barrueco on guitar. After the concert, Friends of NWS gathered for a soirée held at the Red Room and Mediterranean Garden of the Shore Club, where Famed DJ Irie graced the turn tables alongside the classical sounds of the Opus Love Quintet. MIAMI Magazine celebrated their five year anniversary as party goers sipped on cocktails courtesy of GREY GOOSE Vodka. This marks the 25th Anniversary for New World Symphony and the Friends have an exciting lineup of events planned, sure to satisfy the musical and cultural palates of local music aficionados and visitors alike.
