In this weird, comical, brutal monologue, Ronald pours out his soul. He is a bitter, ironical, intelligent unsuccessful actor who has become a clown at McDonald’s. All his thoughts on contemporary life – the fear of solitude, consumerism, the power of the media, comes out as an outcry full of despise. He does not imagine solutions and does not cultivate hopes.
An actor reads the text while running on a treadmill.
When the text is over, the treadmill stops. The actor gets off exhausted, all sweated. He is exactly in the same place where he started from.
An actress (a sort of Ronald’s alter ego) gives the rhythm to the race while playing guitar. From time to time she steps in adding comments to the compulsive flowing of Ronald’s speech.
A DJ follows the play creating a soundtrack.
The space around them is left empty. Only two video screens are installed to broadcast images as visualizations of Ronald’s thoughts.
