Had just a few minutes this afternoon to grab a few shaky handheld shots with the Sanity V5 patch. Not enough time to do anything remotely creative, but this was enough to convince me to continue using this patch. I'm getting none of the noise problems that I was getting with Flow Motion V2.02, and seemingly the same amount of detail. Totally blown away by the combination of excellent shadow detail provided by this low bit rate patch along with smooth motion... and damn..the files are seriously tiny... it's like a breath of fresh air working with files this small again.
Kind of weird... a year ago, I was working with files so massive I could hardly edit them, now I'm back down to just over standard avchd file sizes, but I feel as if I'm getting the same quality that I was getting with super high bit rate patches. And when I examine shots at 400% compared to footage with flow motion and other Driftwood patches, it really does appear to be the same level of discernible detail. Loving it! Wish I would have tried this patch out way sooner.
