This is a short feature I wrote and directed in 2008.
It tells the story of a day in a little girl's life. The movie is set on the 5th of december, which, in some European countries - including mine, Hungary - is known as 'Santa Claus' day'. Accoring to customs, children clean their shoes during the day and leave them on the windowsill/at the porch for the night so Santa can fill them with gifts, if they were 'good' during the year.
Obviously - and this is common in every country, regardless of when Santa visits - for some kids, the temptation to try and peep through a key hole or a window and take a look at the magic when it is happening is too big to resist. This is the story of one of them.
This was an absolutely no budget filmshoot, and it only got done (in one day!) because there were enough amazing people who sacrificed loads of time and effort to make it all happen.
The music used in this film is from Ólafur Arnalds' first album, 'Eulogy for Evolution' copyright of Erased Tapes Records, used for strictly non-commercial purposes only. The makers of 'Winter's Tale' made absolutely no financial profit/gain from the movie.
