This song was written for the Owl Barn, a place suspended in the air, who breathes with the wind and filters sunlight through dusty barn boards. She has become a shelter for a wandering deer who lay down to die inside.
Now, the Owl Barn stays aloft with the aid of barrels, beams and stacks of wood, serving as a sanctuary for a whole array of skins and families of owls. Very soon, she will be deconstructed, and rebuilt as a performance space for theater, dance, and music.
