A nice if typically bumpy days flying at Butser West (29th September 2012). It was a little frustrating as the thermals were very broken and the wind strong so it was impossible to climb much above take off, the usual Butser deal. On a day like that at most other sites everyone would be climbing out to cloudbase! It was pretty rough at times with some small punchy lift coming through in cycles. I had a big 70% collapse (about halfway through the video) but with a bit of weight shift it popped right out without turning at all, brilliant! I very rarely get collapses, I didn't get an asymmetric that big even in India this spring. If you can fly at Butser, you can fly anywhere.
