Seemingly poetry has lost the great influence on the popular culture it had. Names of those who led quite recent Beat Generation are long since forgotten.
Though not as celebrated as in some other times, poetry still exists and poets express they're concerns on topics not enough debated in society. To do so, there are skills vital to reach the audiences, to deliver these concerns. One has to adapt if popular culture is a huge flashing stroboscope.
Here we have done a piece on the recent Urban Poetry event that took place on the beginning of September at Totaldobzhe Arts Centre. Urban Poetry focused on developing performance skills of a poet and features a poetry slam in the end.
