A video profile of Charles David, a palmist in Eugene, OR. This was a project for a journalism class in which my group and I were assigned to cover a lost art. What art is more lost than palmistry?
This project was definitely a group effort, and I acted primarily as the producer, a cinematographer, and the principle editor.
Being in David's house among all of his eclectic trinkets and deceptively spooky lighting was an experience in itself. Interviewing him and having our palms read was entirely fascinating too. If you're ever in Eugene, look him up, or find a palmist where you live. You won't regret it.
