Alabama is said to be home to more species of fish — more than 450 in 29 families — than any state or province in North America. Join us Tuesday as we talk with the Native Fish Coalition, an organization committed to protecting, preserving and restoring our wild native fish. We’ll learn about the organization’s origins in the Northeast and how they have recently expanded their reach into warm-water states. We’ll also hear from Matt Lewis, the Alabama chapter chair, about his work with native redeye bass and the chapter’s plans to promote and protect native fish here in Alabama.
