Earlier this year I was approached by Daniela Bryan, from DB Coach, with the task of capturing the essence of her business within a film. Daniela is an executive coach, ushering clients towards their personal and professional goals. She spends her time between California and her homeland of Southern Germany. She assists her global clientele by speaking 4 languages and possessing an MBA in international business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
After hearing her story, I decided to center the film around the theme of bridges. Acting as a bridge between different cultures, as well as a bridge from one professional career to the next, she gives her clients the knowledge to move across boundaries they sometimes didn't see in the first place.
I centered the piece around a sit down interview in a controlled lighting and sound environment here in California. Since we were working with a tight time frame in Germany & Austria, I chose to spend the majority of the time shooting wild scenes, while forgoing a second interview.
