I recently added two dozen "red cherry" shrimps ( Neocaridina Heteropoda Sp-red) to the original group of basic heteropoda shrimps.
This is a small video of the quite interesting behavior of one of the original individual a few hours after the introduction of the new stock .
-I have yet to find out if the excitation (faster than usual leg movement, semi aggressive behavior etc) was a result of territoriality , or perhaps the effect of the pheromones, as a large part of the new group is female
-The red cherries are the redder ones
I also reuse the water from their tank in a hydroponic /aquaponic system.
