Tonal Vision collaborated with the Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor Initiative to unveil the fourth member of Baltimore’s growing Trash Wheel family. Through a forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loan from the Small Business Administration, the company was able to provide on location filming and post production service to the benefit of this truly worthy project. The video, released by Waterfront Partnership on March 12, features messages from community leaders and shows Gwynnda, the Good Wheel of the West, flaunting fierce purple eyes along with a sparkling crown and magic trash-picking wand.
Gwynnda will be installed at the mouth of the Gwynns Falls in Baltimore’s Middle Branch next month, joining Mr. Trash Wheel, Professor Trash Wheel and Captain Trash Wheel as the largest semi-autonomous trash interceptor to date. All three have developed personalities and large followings through their social media platforms. “She’s kind of a big wheel,” joked Adam Lindquist, who oversees the trash wheel program for the Waterfront Partnership. “Over 6,000 people voted and sent in name ideas… Our team loved ‘Gwynnda the Good Wheel of the West’ the moment we saw it.”
