To learn more about helping reduce the flow of polluted run-off into puget sound
This video was shot on Oct. 14, 2012, it is a storm water outfall off Alki Beach.
It was shot with a Go-pro hero2 in time-lapse mode. We had been monitoring weather all week and then on the day of shooting, watched doppler radar very closely, because we knew we only had about 4 hours of battery life in the go-pro and wanted to catch the plume developing.
It is only ONE storm drain, there are hundreds of outfalls that flow into puget sound. If you want more info on numbers and locations: pugetsound.org/policy/stormwater/outfalls
This time-lapse is a compilation of ~3000 images.
