Emerging European and American experts from the spheres of academia, policy making and the media met at Johns Hopkins' School for Advanced International Studies to discuss their experiences and perspectives of multiculturalism and migration. They considered what Europe and the U.S. can learn from each other on the topics and what challenges both sides face in reducing anti-immigrant sentiment and improving levels of civil engagement among youth.
The discussion was moderated by Magdalena Luminska of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins' School of Advanced International Studies. Panelists included Sonja Aziz of the University of Vienna, Eduardo Lopez Busquets of Casa Arabe and Dr. Justin Gest of Harvard University.
