‚SCUM SCAM SCUM‘ is the second part of the trilogy 'Good times, bad times'. It's a surreal chamber play made up of several absurd sequences of highly pathetic interactions that are characterized by both humor and drama.
The social microcosm represented in Haller’s film becomes a metaphor for a society in which the personal and private are political. We see an evening among friends, which in its course
develops into an unscrupulous power struggle of the different characters, at the end of which nobody wins and everyone loses. Every tenderness and every desire for love is denied
in the respective conversations and actions and every attempt to impress the others come to nothing. The characters are all connected and at the same time alienated from one another.
In the moments of rejection, their own egocentric goals, deep-seated frustrations and insecurities as well as their own intimate desires and personal aspirations are revealed.
The cast includes Judith Vrancken, Gerrit Frohne-Brinkmann, Vittorio Brodmann, Jakob Schreier, Lisa Hrdina, Ames Gerould and Patrick Schramm as Jonny Depp.
